Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Sweaters, boots, hot chocolate, the changing colors, and of course, pumpkins. While I'm used to cold and windy fall seasons in Seattle, Las Vegas is still full of sunshine. Today I'm sharing two of my favorite fall outfits, and I've teamed up with Emily Hurtin to share her gorgeous autumn makeup tutorial!
Emily is a friend of mine who lives in Seattle who has been doing makeup for about five years. Emily first started doing makeup when she was studying Theatre at Central Washington University. She began taking the Stage Makeup classes for special effects and got into beauty by complete accident. Emily started doing makeup freelance for weddings, photoshoots, and other events. She did my makeup for one of my best friends weddings, and you can see the details HERE. Three years ago, she launched a YouTube channel to do both beauty makeup as well as special effects with face/body painting. Emily is basically the shit at what she does, and her personality goes along with it. Check out her amazing makeup tutorial below!
Stripes, leather, and over the knee boots oh my! This outfit is seriously not only comfortable, but it's also seriously hot. I practically live in this cotton striped t-shirt dress year round. Dress it up or dress it down, it never goes out of style. Neither does a leather jacket. I wasn't even looking for a leather jacket when my eyes saw this one hanging casually on the end of a clothing rack of colored cami tank tops. I guess it was a sign because it was the last one they had, in my size, and still had the plastic protective wear over all the buttons. Sold! My killer over the knee boots are clearly on trend, and my amazing boyfriend took note and surprised me for Christmas with these beauties. I don't wear them all the time, but when I do, my confidence level hits the top charts.
This next look is basic yet stylish. A cozy on-trend sweater with cut-out features, not too tight denim jeans and a pair of ankle booties is the perfect fit for fall. I think everyone can agree that when you find that perfect sweater, it's a life keeper. I began collecting sweaters when I lived in Seattle, so I've got plenty, but this sweater is almost always my number one go-to. It's not too thick and not too thin. I'll let you in on a little secret that most of you may not know, I hate pants, especially denim jeans. I find them extremely uncomfortable, and I usually can not wait to take them off. Surprisingly this pair of denim is the only pair I currently own, not sorry. That being said, I'm very picky when it comes to denim, but these babies are more than welcome in my closet. They're Abercrombie & Fitch regularly $113, but I got them at Plato's Closet for no joke, only $29! Talk about a steal. The ankle booties speak for themselves. A little tight to get on but they're durable and they still look brand new, and I've had them for over a year. These booties are from DSW, and I don't know about you, but they're selection never seems to disappoint, especially during the fall season.
Working with Emily on this fall collaboration was so much fun and look forward to working with her again in the future. Together we hope you enjoyed our autumn lookbook and makeup tutorial!
