Seriously, I can't get away from this place. Red Rock overwhelms me with joy and beauty every time I visit. I decided to channel my mother's inner hippie soul by wearing her vintage halter crop top. She gave me this top when I was fifteen years old and at the time, it was something I would never wear. However, fast forward fourteen years later to now and it's the perfect top for staying cool and exploring the desert.
Red Rock and the beauty of the desert here in Las Vegas aren't the only things that have brought me joy. From the vast selection of local restaurants and weekly events to the unbelievable sunsets and hardly any traffic, this place continues to amaze me. The sun is always shining, there are palm trees everywhere you turn, and sprinklers. Yes, sprinklers. They're everywhere and definitely something you don't see in Seattle for obvious reasons, but it certainly takes me back to my childhood in California when running through the sprinklers and drinking water for the hose was a daily excitement. There is so much to love about living here. I'm completely desert happy. I think it's time I officially call this place my home.
