In the past three years on Valentine’s Day, it was a guarantee I was at home alone watching a romance movie with a box of Kleenex and a bottle of wine (or two). Well, not this year! This year I’m celebrating with my special someone, and I couldn’t be more excited. Valentine’s day is a holiday to express how much we love and care for each other. Sounds a little silly. To me, love is every day, not once a year.
Instead of gift giving, I wanted to do something creative and more meaningful. What better way to do that than with a handmade Valentine’s Day card! By no means am I a crafting expert. I have a paper trimmer solely because I cannot cut a straight line to save my life. You don’t have to be a crafting expert to create something beautiful and meaningful. It’s the thought that counts, right?
Luckily enough, I already had most of the supplies used to design and create my card. The only things I had to purchase was a design statement piece for the front and red glitter letter stickers. Here are the supplies I used:
- Ribbon
- Solid paper
- Design paper
- Design statement piece
- Glitter letter stickers
- Paper Trimmer
- Double sided tape
To make this card even more special, I wrote 14 things I love about my boyfriend on the inside. There’s nothing sweeter than a handwritten message to remind him or her how you feel about them. To finish it off, seal it with a kiss!
Love,
Kimberly
