Today is the day I get to see two of my long time friends get married. Words can't describe my excitement as I not only get to see my friends get married but I also get to see some of my girlfriends I've known since high school. I've known the bride since high school as well, and I've known the groom since junior high school. To see them come together and now get married is amazing and I couldn't be happier for them.
As my boyfriend and I arrived at the venue and walked inside the lodge, my heart was pounding with excitement. Blush pink and little touches of gold decorated the inside of the lodge throughout. With several tall windows lined against the back of the lodge, all the guests had a view of the lake out back. Gorgeous. We found our seats with our friends and soon the ceremony began.
After the short and sweet ceremony, everyone made their way out back to a private patio and lawn to enjoy beverages and the view. The lodge sat alongside Crystal Lake in Woodinville, Washington making this the perfect backdrop for stunning photographs. There was an area to use props and take fun photos, which of course my friends and I couldn't resist but to grab a hold and start snapping photographs. It was a beautiful location, and the weather couldn't have been any more perfect. The ideal day for a wedding.
Eventually, everyone made their way back inside the lodge for an American buffet dinner. The best part was if your table wanted to eat, your table had to guess the questions right in a game all the guests played before loading up a plate. I loved this idea because it gave everyone a chance to grab a plate without feeling rushed, no long line formed, and it was fun to answer questions about the bride and groom. I couldn't help myself and added to my plate some steak, chicken, mash potatoes, vegetables, salad, and a dinner roll. A little bit of everything, thank you.
Soon the delicious dinner ended, and the party continued into the night. It came time for the bride and groom to exit the venue, and they did so by walking through a tunnel of sparklers. It was beautiful. There's nothing quite as remarkable as seeing your friends get married. The overall wedding was full of romance and had me teary eyed on-off throughout the celebration. I'm so thankful we got to be a part of their special day, and I wish them all the happiness in their future together.
